Boyd Earle Campbell Obituary
Boyd Earle Campbell, 76, passed away February 13, 2012, at Texoma Medical Center. Mr. Campbell was born July 6, 1934 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, son of Andrew Boyd Campbell and Imogene (Nichols) Campbell. He graduated from Classon High School in Oklahoma City in 1952. He entered the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman, was transferred and attached to the 3rd Marine Corps Division during the Korean conflict, serving in Japan, Okinawa and Formosa. He was Honorably Discharged.

He returned to the Mortuary business for several years and became a license funeral director in the State of Oklahoma. Entered into the sales field with Vitaminerals Foremost Foods as direct sales manager for twelve states. Later he became sales manager for Walter March in Chicago, Ill.

Married the love of his life, Lois (Jones) Campbell in 1977 in Richardson, Texas. He and Lois owned and operated Dallas Apartment Service, Inc. for several years. Mr. Campbell was a lifetime member of the Dallas Chamber of Commerce. Retired to the Texoma area in 1983. He was a member of the American Legion Post 231 and Denison Elks Lodge #238. He also helped organize and form the Texoma Detachment Marine Corps League #929 in 1995, being a Charter member and a lifetime member. He served as Adjutant/Paymaster and "Toys for Tots" for 9 years when his health would allow. He was also a lifetime member of the Texoma Devil Dogs.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Marine Corps League Headquarters, 2355 FM 406, Denison, Texas. Officiating will be the Texoma Detachment Officers and League members.

Surviving are his two sons, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and his sister, Phyllis Kaye Horne of Pottsboro, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marine Corps League Detachment 929, 2355 FM 406, Denison, TX. 75020.

A memorial service will be held March 3, 2012, 2:30 p.m. at the Marine Corps League Headquarters, 2355 FM 406, Denison, Texas. Officiating will be the Texoma Detachment Officers and League members.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, located at 604 W. Main in Denison.
