Carol was born Tuesday, July 25, 1944 in Denison, Texas, the daughter of Jason & Hazel (Lindsey) Manrey. She devoted her entire life to God's ministry and family. She worked at Levi's for 20 plus years, then went to Diaper Jeans for 9 years.
During this time, she played the piano at Trinity Lighthouse Church for 40 years, traveling to various parts of the country. She, sister Jean Hendrix and longtime friend Naomi Ribble sang as a trio as time went along. Her nephews Ronnie Hendrix and Damon Hendrix joined the ministry after 40 years at Trinity Lighthouse Church.
God called Carol in a different direction that led to her pastoring River of Life Full Gospel Church. Her music and ministry inspired people all across the country. Her favorite saying was "Only one life, it will soon be passed, only what's done for Christ will last."
She is survived by nephews Ronnie Hendrix & wife Catherine of Denison, Damon Hendrix of Denison, Jimmy Bray & wife Melba of Colbert, Oklahoma; niece Susan Binnings & husband Earl of Thibodeaux, Louisiana; great-niece Emily Hendrix of Denison; care taker Lela Sutherland of Denison.
Our pastor has gone to meet the Lord. Her long journey has been long and hard. Now she has that happy smile. She walked the long hard mile. She will be missed, but Jesus will give her a holy kiss. Carol, we love you always.
