Christine Berryhill was born on Christmas Day in the year 1922 to Bradley and Era (Gregory) Knowles in Streetman. She departed this earth on Jan. 23, 2011 at the age of 88 years.|
She married Alfred Berryhill on Sept. 23, 1939 in Corsicana. They were married 50 years until his death on Jan. 17, 1990. They resided in Harlingen, where Christine was employed by Central Power and Light Company and retired in 1985 after 33 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers Wayne, Boyd and Gene Knowles.
She is survived by her son Bob Berryhill and his wife Susan of Van Alstyne; granddaughter Shannon Flanery and husband Doug of Whitesboro; and grandson Brady Flanery. Also surviving is Barbara Knowles, her sister-in-law, of Bryan, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, at the Van Alstyne Cemetery with Rev. Gary Gibbs of the First Christian Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman.
