DENISON - Donald "Don" Wayne Weaver, 68, of Denison passed away peacefully November 16, 2013 in Plano, Texas surrounded by his loving family.|
Don was born on November 24, 1944 in Denison, the son of Evan "E. M." Morris and Naomi May Markham Weaver. He graduated from Denison High School Class of 1963. In 1964, Don joined the Army Reserve where he ranked as a Drill Sergeant and trained troops for Vietnam. He left the reserves in 1971. On December 30, 1966 Don married the love of his life, Martha Lynn Broughton.
Don started working in the automotive parts industry at an early age working for several dealerships over the years as Parts Manager. Many men and women who still work for Ford Parts today were trained by Don Weaver.
Don leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years, Martha Weaver of Denison; son, Scott Weaver of Denison; daughter, Stacey Weaver Greenway and husband, Michael of Sherman; grandson, Codey Greenway and girlfriend Jerrika White of Denison; brother, Jerry Lee Weaver and wife, Barbara Jean of Denison; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins along with best friends, Tom and Linda Whitley and Bill and Marie Ridinger. Don was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bill Brown officiating and eulogy by Bill Blakemore. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Fisher Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Doug Adcock, Eddie Doggett, Ricky Hix, Joe Barrett, Tommy Sikes and Terry Entwistle.
