DENISON - Doyce Dean Gordon, 73, slipped away peacefully into the arms of Jesus Monday, June 24, 2013 at Texoma Medical Center surrounded by her family.|
Mrs. Gordon was born Aug. 6, 1939 in Farmersville, the daughter of Paul S. and Mattie B. (Kuykendall) Gordon. She was employed for several years at T.I. in Richardson, before working as an activity director for nursing homes. Mrs. Gordon really enjoyed listening to country music and reading a good book. She was incredibly crafty and prided herself in her ability to sew, embroider and paint ceramics. Mrs. Gordon will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Gordon is survived by her beloved family, son, Steven Cline and wife Karen of Ft. Worth; daughter, Cherry Redding and husband Dennis of Ft. Worth; son, Jackie Cline and wife Nancy of Savoy; daughter, Angie Owens and husband Lewis of Denison; and daughter, Gina Bradshaw of Denison; grandchildren, Matthew Cline and wife Jennifer of Katy, Travis Cline and wife Misty of Howe, Kevin Cline of Ft. Worth, Jennifer Cline of Ft. Worth, Joshua Redding of Ft. Worth, Shawn Cline and wife Stephanie of Ector, Stephanie Cline of Sherman, Benjamin Owens of Sherman, Matthew Owens of Denison, Cory Sanders of Midland, Lacy Heit and husband Daniel of Blue Ridge; great-grandchildren, Maddie Cline, Julie Cline, Mason Cline, Caleb Cline, Trinitee Cline, Kaylon Cline, Zoey Bolen, and Bentley Sanders; brother, Paul S. Gordon Jr. and wife Kathy of Pottsboro; sisters, Carolyn Hope and husband Blair of Auburn, Wash., and Beverly Daniel of Denison.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mattie Gordon; son, Gene Derebery; brothers, Johnny Gordon and Mickey Gordon; and grandson, Jacob Redding.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Fisher Funeral Home Chapel with Rayden Whitmire officiating. Interment will follow in Cederlawn Memorial Park. Family visitation will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Fisher Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gordon's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
