1920 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
Edward Leon Bowman, 93, longtime resident of Windom, Texas passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Home in Bonham, Texas.

Funeral services will be 3:00P.M. Sat. Mar. 29, 2014 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, TX. Interment will be at Windom Cemetery in Windom, TX. Pallbearerswill be Michael Chaney, Ricky Chaney, Jeff Robinson, Lee Michael Bowman, Heath Bowman and Ethen Bowman.

Edward Leon Bowman was born Aug. 18, 1920 to parents, Leslie Allen Bowman and Sarah Jewell Keen Bowman. He married Emogene Fairchild Bowman July 10, 1942 in San Antonio, TX. and she preceded him in death. He was a member of the Windom United Methodist Church. He serviced his country during WW-II in U.S. Army Air Force. He retired from the General Cable in Bonham, he served as board member of the ASCS office, and served on the Soil & Water Conservation Board, served many years on the Windom School Board, he served as an Elder and song leader at the Methodist church, He was active in the Windom Lions Club. He loved fishing and hunting but his special love was for his family.

He is survived by Children, Pamelia Jean and husband, Gary Hall of Ravenna, TX; Carolyn Ann and husband, Jerry Robinson of Randolph, TX; Michael Wayne & wife, Tobie Bowman of Bonham, TX; Danny Lee and Jane Bowman of Windom, TX; Brenda Alyne and husband, Johnny White of Windom, TX; Sheila Kay Underwood of Bonham, TX; Charles Edward Bowman of Windom, TX. Sister, Laverna Verheyden of Jacksonville, TX. Brother, Loren and wife, Loy Bowman of Ft. Smith, Arkansas
