POTTSBORO - Gabriel "Gabe" Heath Carter, 29, passed into eternal life on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 at Lake Ray Roberts.|
Gabe Carter was born Nov. 29, 1983, the son of Jimmie and Toni (Wood) Carter in Denison. Gabe attended Denison schools throughout his youth and graduated from Denison High School in 2002. After graduating high school he continued his education at Texas Tech University where he earned his bachelor's degree in 2007. He supported his family through his work as a sales manager at Reinert Paper and Chemical in Denison. Gabe married the love of his life, Mallory Gibson on Oct. 8, 2011 in Sherman and they cherished every moment they shared together, especially the birth of their beloved son Bowen. Gabe loved spending time with his family and friends. He had a passion for the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.
Gabe is survived by his loving family, wife, Mallory Carter and son, Bowen Carter of Pottsboro; parents, Randy and Toni Reinert of Denison; three brothers, Josh Reinert and wife Beth of Denison, James Reinert of Denison, and Nicholas Carter and wife Jackie of Denison; two sisters, Danielle Mitchell and husband Edmund of Toledo, Ohio, and Mandy Carter of Kansas City, Mo.; inlaws, David Gibson of Pottsboro, and Karen Hampton and husband Steve of Pottsboro; two sisters-in-law, Allison and Katherine Gibson of Pottsboro; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Lee Carter Jr.; grandparents, Jimmie Lee Carter Sr., Willa Mae Robinson, Marian Carter Barger, Commodore and Eva Wood, Mary Reinert and Uncle Bob Reinert.
The rosary will be prayed at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 6:30 p.m. Thursday with visitation following. The Funeral Mass for Gabe Carter will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 2013 at St. Patrick Catholic Church officiated by Fr. Stephen Mocio, assisted by Pastor Neal Alexander of Hagerman Baptist Church, with interment following at Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James Reinert, Heath Kirkpatrick, Charlie Reinert, Mark Briley, Dylan Morris, Justin Carson, Jeffrey Schneider, Bret Taylor, Johnny Hoover and Rob Crawley.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking that memorials can be made to the Gabe Carter Memorial Fund at 931 W Main St. Denison, TX 75020, or any other American Bank location.
