COLBERT, Okla. - Hueland Henry Hale 95, of Colbert, Okla. passed away Tuesday afternoon March 11, 2014 at his home with his loving family at his side. He was born July 11, 1918 in Hamilton, Texas to Sherman Henry and Hattie Babbitt Hale.|
He served his country in the Army during World War II and obtained a purple heart. He married Wanda Grantland April 15, 1957 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was a self employed painting contractor and lived in Colbert most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, five children Hueland Earl Hale, Lou Rolls, Sybil Wooten, Dewayne Hale and Earnest Martin and a granddaughter Belinda Martin.
Surviving are his Wife Wanda Hale of the home Colbert; grandchildren Timmy Babbitt and wife Linda of Platter, Okla., Dallas Hale and wife Christian of North Carolina, Renee Gibby and husband Timmy of Achille, Okla., Tracy Agee of Colbert, Shane Blackburn and wife Mendy of Howe, Texas, Lisa Martin and Tish Martin both of Bonham, Texas; numerous great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends Merle Green and Lavada Rice.
A funeral service for Hueland Hale will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday morning March 15 at the Country Gospel Lighthouse Church in Colbert with Brother Billy Joe Beal officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Denison, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Buck, Brian Pugh, Jon Paul Bozeman, Randy Stone, Bob Marks and Johnny Ray Buck. Honorary Pallbearer will be Nelson Bowles.
Family night will be from 7 - 8 Friday night at the funeral home. The register book may be signed and condolences be made online at cunninghamfuneralhomesok.com.
