James Ferrell Obituary

DENISON - James Carter Ferrell Sr, age 69, went home to be with the Lord Monday, November 21, 2011 at Texoma Medical Center.

Mr. Ferrell was born March 12, 1942 in Texarkana, Texas the son of James Herbert and Kathrine Ellyse Ferrell. He grew up in Texarkana and Longview. James worked for many years at Southwestern Bell and AT&T before retiring. He then became President of Ferrell Construction. He loved fishing and later went on the circuit for Pro Bass Fisherman.

James was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of Lone Star Lodge #403 and Shriner. He was also a member of the telephone company Pioneer Club. He loved the Lord and attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.James was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Ferrell is survived by his beloved family: wife, Maria Ferrell of Denison, Texas; sons, James Carter Ferrell Jr. and wife, Christine of Rockwall, Texas and Justin Darius Ferrell of Denison; daughters, Jennifer Denise Gray and husband, Rodney of Denison and Lesa Michelle Trussell and husband, Tim of Flower Mound, Texas; grandchildren, Dustin Wayne George and wife, Lauren, Taylor Denise McGarry and husband, James and Madeline Elizabeth Trussell, great-grandchildren, Jordyn Nicole George and Colby Wayne George, sister, Diane Beeson of Denison, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Kathrine Ferrell and mother-in-law, Alicia Campos.

Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2011 in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Minister Leo Phea officiating. Condolences may be registered online at www.fisherfh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, located at 604 West Main in Denison.
