BONHAM - James (Jim) Maus went home peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2013, to be with the Lord Jesus Christ today at the age of 71 after a long illness.

He was born on September 3, 1941 to George and Helen Maus in Milwaukee, Wis. Jim is from Pottsboro, Texas.

"A celebration of Jim's life will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church located at 416 N. Rusk Ave. in Denison, Texas. The time and date are pending with Johnson-Moore Funeral Home in Denison. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT, National Processing Center, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Norma of the home, daughter, Angel Kay Bradbury, and husband Clint, grandchildren, Andrew Justin and Amanda Kay of Rowlett, Texas. Brother, Kenneth Maus of Milwaukee, nephew John Caruso and wife Karen. Brother in-law, Bobby Jack Park of Bokechito, Okla. and many nieces and nephews.

Preceeding Jim in death are his mother, his dad, his brother Jerry, his sister Rose Marie and husband Gus Caruso, his sister Virginia Murray, his nephew Mike Murray, and sisters-in-law Mrs. Kenneth Maus and Mrs. Bobby Jack Park.

He married Norma Park on August 5, 1967.

At the age of 17 he joined the U.S. Air Force. After spending the biggest part of 8 years in Vietnam exposed to Agent Orange every day as an aircraft mechanic, Jim ultimately gave his life for our country.

Jim was of Catholic faith, having been schooled in the Catholic schools. He graduated from Messmer High School in Milwaukee in 1959. He received his BS in Dallas, Texas.

In his last months, in living in the VA Nursing Home in Bonham, Jim's family sends loving appreciation for all the kindness and tender loving care shown to Jim.
