Marian U. Barger Obituary
A shining light has passed from this world to the bosom of the Lord. We hear great rejoicing in heaven as Marian is reunited with beloved family and friends who have gone before.

Marian was born in St. Joseph, Mo. to Fayette M. and Virginia Connett Utz. She was a woman of beauty and wit, a lady with sparkle, who brought much joy and love to those who knew her. She has been a life-long member of P.E.O. In May 2009, she was honored as a Golden Girl at her 60+ Anniversary of P.E.O. Membership by Chapter DI. She was quite avant- garde, as shown in her early participation to organize a Businesswomen's Association group in St. Joseph, Mo.
Marian's church families at First United Methodist of Sherman and Oakridge Baptist in Denison were very dear to her and a support for her throughout her life.

She is survived by her three loving children, Perilla Brewer of San Pedro, Calif., Steven Schneider and Jeffrey Schneider of Denison and her dear children by marriage; Kirk Brewer, Danna Schneider and Sandra Schneider. Her beloved grandchildren; Shannon Scoggins and husband Neil of Sherman, Jeffrey Schneider and wife Jaime of Valley View, Alexia Martinez and her husband Jared of Capitola, Calif., Connett Brewer of San Pedro, Calif., Leah, Elizabeth and Emily Schneider of Clarksville, Ark.; and her dear friend Hank Lawrence of Denver, Colo. The shining hearts of her life were great-grandchildren Ethan and Olivia Scoggins. She will always be their "Goo Goo."

Our hearts ache with her loss.
If desired, memorials may be made to PEO, a philanthropic education organization supporting women's education, c/o Chapter DI - Attn: Sandra Holt, 1509 Hull Street, Denison, TX 750202
Family will receive friends and loved ones at the First United Methodist Church of Sherman on Friday July 16th in the parlor at 10:30 a.m. Service will follow in the sanctuary at 11:30 a.m. Officiating will be Dr. Tom Peel of First United Methodist Church, Sherman along with Pastor Sam Garrett of Oakridge Baptist Church of Denison.
