DENISON - Michael McCord Black was born on December 13, 1966 and passed away on May 9, 2014 at his home.|
He was born in Denison to Robert S. and Lura B. Black who preceded him in death.
Michael was a lifelong Denison resident who graduated from Denison High School in 1985. He then joined the U.S. Army and served with the 82nd Airborne in North Carolina, where he served his country with pride and honor.
He returned to Denison and attended Grayson County College where he received his R.N. nursing degree. He happily served his community for 21 years.
Michael is survived by his children Micah Meeks of Dallas, Linsey Ann Black of Denison, Kayce McCord Black of Denison and Seth Michael Black also of Denison.
He is survived by a sister Rebecca Wingfield of Hendrix, Okla. and brother Robert P. Black of Denison; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bratcher Funeral Home.
