Neva Nell (Howell) White Obituary
TOM BEAN - Neva Nell Howell White was born Feb. 4, 1932 in Fannin County to Harlie Howell and Bessie Lambert Howell. She married Robert White on Nov. 3, 1947 in Whitewright. She died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012 at Texas Health Presbyterian WNJ in Sherman, Texas at the age of 80. She was a long-time resident of Tom Bean.

Nell was of the Baptist faith. She worked for the school, cafes and KC Foods in Tom Bean. She was well known for her kind heart and loving ways. She loved the community as much as they loved her. She will be truly missed by all.

She is survived by daughter, Robbie Gray and husband Alvin of Tom Bean; daughter, Brenda Melton of Tom Bean; son, Richard White and wife Susan of Tom Bean; daughter, Terrie Beth Weeks and husband Terry of Bells; sister, Erma Dean Compton of Denison, Texas; sister, Linda Watson and husband Paul of Garland; brother, Pete Howell and wife Nancy of Garland; sister-in-law, Ruby Howell of Whitewright; grandchildren, Trina Hathaway, Helen Gilbert, Danny Dewayne Chitwood, Brad Melton, Josh White, Wesley Rigsbay, Monica Moores, Robert White, Amanda Hartline, Ashley Schilling, and Nathan Garland; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her; husband, Robert White; father, Harlie Howell; mother and step-father, Bessie and Oscar Whitaker; granddaughter, Mallory LeAnn Melton; brothers, Leo and Jackie Howell; sister, Juanita Donihoo.

Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Whitewright. Officiating the service will be Rev. Roland C. Ouellette and Rev. Houston Garner. Burial will follow at Whitemound Cemetery in Tom Bean, Texas. Pallbearers will be Dewayne Chitwood, Brad Melton, Josh White, Wesley Rigsbay, Robert White, Nathan Garland and Dallas Hathaway.

Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Wednesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6 -8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright.
