Pauline passed away on Monday, July 12, 2010 at Texas Health Presbyterian-WNJ Hospital in Sherman.

She was born on Jan. 14, 1916 in Whitesboro to Thomas C. and Sally Alverson Collins. She married Vivian Utley Brookshear on July 4, 1941 in Sherman. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Whitesboro. Mrs. Brookshear was a 1934 graduate of Whitesboro High School and then attended Draughan's Business College. She served as Deputy Clerk in the Grayson County Clerk's office from 1940-1941 and also worked as a legal secretary. When Mr. Brookshear, her husband, returned from military service in 1945, they moved to Dallas and lived there 38 years. In Dallas, she was employed by the U.S. Government as Secretary to the Deputy Regional Counsel of General Services Administration. When that office was transferred to Fort Worth in 1965, preferring to remain in Dallas, she worked for the U.S. Department of Labor as Secretary to the Deputy Regional Solicitor and then as office Management Assistant until her retirement in 1979. She and Vivian then moved to Whitesboro in 1983.

Survivors include nieces and nephews, Don Collins of Whitesboro, Judy Russell of Arlington, Tom Collins of Granbury, Shirley Miller of Dallas and several others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Sally Collins; husband, Vivian Brookshear; and 3 brothers, Choyce Collins, Paul Collins and Garnett Collins.
