Obituary Condolences

BONHAM – Thomas Ray Lucas, 83-year-old resident of Bonham, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 at the Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham.

Funeral Services for Mr. Lucas are set for 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 at the Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. Rev. Houston Garner will officiate.

The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service from 2 -3 p.m. on Saturday.

Those serving as pallbearers for Thomas are Gene Lucas, Cody Lucas, David Haliburton, John Woodson, Oscar Elk and Thomas Ford.

Mr. Lucas was a 1949 graduate of Bells High School, he served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam, and was a mechanic for AmTrak for many years. He was a Baptist by faith.

Thomas was born July 19, 1930 in Leonard to parents, Wesley l. Lucas and Allie Mae Murray Lucas. He married Nina Kile and she preceded him in death. He is survived by his two sons, John Lucas and wife Donna of Whitewright, Mike Lucas and wife Joy of Bells; daughter, Terri Grosh and husband Steve of Richardson; and brother, Billy Lucas and wife Betty. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Kathy Lucas.
