Vivian Mae Smith Obituary
SHERMAN - Vivian Mae Smith, 77, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the Willows in Sherman.

Mrs. Smith was born February 10, 1936 in Sherman, the daughter of Ed and Flora (Prater) Brinkley.

Vivian married the love of her life, Joe Ralph Smith March 30, 1956 in Denison. They were married 54 wonderful years before Joe passed in 2010. Vivian always put her family first, she loved them all, especially the grandchildren who fondly called her Memaw. Vivian found great joy over the years traveling to all the football games of her son and grandchildren, whether they were playing or coaching they knew that she was there cheering them on. She loved the Lord and was a member of Harless United Methodist Church in Denison.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her beloved son, Joe Smith and his wife Mary of Denison; grandchildren, Matthew Smith and wife Becky of McKinney, and Stephanie Kuehl and husband, Andrew of Coolidge; great-grandchildren, Major Smith, Grace Kuehl, Caleb Kuehl and Colton Smith; brother, Arthur Brinkley and wife Sue of Whitewright; sister, Marie Woodall of Grand Prairie; and sister-in-law, Sharon Morris of Justin. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe Smith, parents, Ed and Flora Brinkley, and brother, Albert Brinkley.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bill Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 6 -8 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2013 at Fisher Funeral Home.
