CELINA - Services for Wallace Harold Kinney, 90, of Celina will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 at College Hill Church of Christ in Gunter, Texas. Mr. L. D. Byrd will officiate, interment will follow in the Cottage Hill Cemetery in Celina. The family will receive friends Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 from 2 -3 p.m. at the College Hill Church of Christ. Mr. Kinney passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 at his residence.

Wallace was born in Gunter, Texas, the son of Howard and Selma Brown Kinney on Jan. 8, 1922. Wallace attended the Alla School north of Celina. He was a World War ll Veteran and joined the Air Force December 18, 1941. He married Eddith Arnold on March 23, 1946. They were married 60 years. He worked as a contractor/builder until his retirement at the age of 78. He was a lifelong member of College Hill Church of Christ in Gunter where he served as a deacon.
Mr. Kinney is survived by daughters, Brenda Stevens of Bedford and Linda Carey and husband Rick of Celina; grandchildren, Gene Stevens, Jina Graham, Jaime Carey, Rebekah Swaringen and Adam Carey. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Eddith and a son, Gene Kinney.
