DENISON – Mozelle Mathis, 89 passed away Friday, March 8, 2013, at Texoma Medical Center.|
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 14, 2013 at First Christian Church in Denison with Rev. Steve Chambers officiating.
Mozelle was born Sunday, Nov. 25, 1923 in Gordonville, the daughter of Henry C. Cox and Eunice Lee Perkins. She worked for the Corps of Engineers. She married Vernon Mathis on Oct. 13, 1944. She and her husband owned and operated Myles Variety Store and Spencer's Furniture in Denison.
She is survived by husband, Vernon of Denison; and daughter, Kathy Cooley and husband Tim of Bloomfield, Conn.
She is preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, W.J. Dinwiddie; and daughter Donna.
