Pawnee Plowman Kreger, age 90, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus, Wednesday, February 5, 2014 after complications from pneumonia and Alzheimer.|
Mrs. Kreger was born August 25, 1923 in Hastings, Oklahoma the daughter of Ben and May (Green) Plowman. After the death of her parents at age 12 she was raised by her grandparents, P. L. and Madora Green. She attended schools in Tishomingo and Ravia Oklahoma. Pawnee married John L. Kreger January 26, 1942 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. They moved to Denison in 1953 but due to health problems she moved back to Oklahoma in 2010. Prior to that she retired from the Food Service Department at the Denison Public Schools. She loved to cook, sew, quilt, garden, fish and go camping. Mrs. Kreger was a member of Trinity Lighthouse Church in Denison, where she devoted herself to the service of the Lord.
Mrs. Kreger is survived by her loving family: two daughters, Delores Jean Brown of Cartwright, OK, and Sue Hannan and husband, Gerald of Colbert, OK; five grandchildren, Janna Krill and husband, Dennis of Tuscon, AZ, Jeana Henson and husband, Roger of Sadler, TX, Jackie Brown Jr. and wife Rachel of Denison, TX, Craig Hannan and wife Missy of Stillwater, OK, and Jason Hannan and wife, Karen of Colbert, OK, and 13 great-grandchildren, sister, Clytee Hurt of Antlers, OK, and sister-in-law, Faye Kreger of Tishomingo, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandparents, son-in-law, Jack Brown, and sister, Faye Smith.
Funeral services for Mrs. Kreger will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 10, 2014 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Rev. Raymond England officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Tishomingo Cemetery in Tishomingo, OK. Family visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, February 9, at Fisher Funeral Home. The funeral home will open at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Craig Hannan, Jason Hannan, Jackie Brown Jr., Kodee Brown, Roger Henson and Hunter Henson.
The family would like to thank the staff of Southern Point Living Center and Valsa Aspire Hospice for the love and care given to our mother.
