Hazel Naomi (Clinton) Bell Obituary
SHERMAN - Visitation will be held for Hazel Naomi (Clinton) Bell from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday Feb 12, 2014 at Waldo Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb 13, 2014 at Waldo Funeral Home. Rev. Ken Dacus of the Victory Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. Mrs. Bell, 85, passed away Sunday February 9, 2014 at Texas Health Presbyterian-WNJ Medical Center.

Hazel was born October 1, 1928 in Sadler, Texas to the late Rosco Verlin Clinton and Sudie Mel Vinnie (Cowgur) Clinton. She married Bobby Bell on July 23, 1948 in Sherman. Hazel was a former member of Kerr Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and was a currently a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Sherman. She began working as a LVN in 1959 in several clinics in Sherman. Hazel retired in 1992 while working in the office of Dr. Fred Snipes. She was a member of the Quilters Guild of Sherman; American Legion Auxiliary; Victory Baptist Church Ladies Auxiliary; and the LVN Association.

Hazel is survived by her husband of 65 years, Retired Cpt. Bobby L. Bell of Sherman; daughter, Shirley Milner of Sherman; son, David W. Bell and wife Jo of Sherman; daughter, Mary Hunter and husband Charles of St. Albans, VT; grandson, David A. Bell and wife Gina of Midland, TX; granddaughter, Jennifer Sample and husband John of Reston, VA; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Allison, Kelsey, and Kolton Bell; Ryan and Connor Sample; brother, R.V. Clinton JR and wife Doris of Sherman; sister, Dorothy Brock and husband Bobby of Sherman; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Vera Faye Anderson and Princess Akin; four brothers, AM Clinton, George Carlton Clinton, Sidney Clinton, and Moody Clinton.
