DENISON – Our gracious Lord and Savior has called Peribanou "Pearl" DaVault home Thursday, February 13, 2014. She was 92 years old. She was born in Blue, Oklahoma to Sydney and Caroline Hogan on Monday, May 16, 1921.|
Funeral service s will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Chapel On The Hill at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas with Brother Charles Freeman officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m.
Pearl married Leamon (Bud) DaVault on March 6, 1946 in Durant, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2007.
Pearl was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker, taking care of three children and a household while her husband was in the Air Force for 23 years.
She was a graduate of Blue High School where she loved playing basketball. That is how she met Bud, he too played basketball but went to a rival school. She finished her junior year at Southeastern in Durant, Oklahoma before leaving school to marry.
Where ever they traveled, Pearl got involved in the community and church. She was a Girl Scout leader, PTA leader and President of the ladies 21 Club. She loved sports and brought her children and grandchildren up to love sports. She followed them to every game, even out of town.
She was a member of Faith Fellowship Baptist Church in Denison, Texas and she loved the church family.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon DaVault Lovell and husband Cliff of Denison; granddaughter Cassie Lovell of Kingwood, Texas; grandson Chase Lovell and wife Courtney of Denison; granddaughter Mallory Shackelford and husband David of Austin, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters.
