Obituary Condolences

SHERMAN - Visitation will take place for Morris G. Miller from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday March 12 at Western Heights Church of Christ in Sherman; funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday March 12 at Western Heights Church of Christ. Paul Miller will be officiating.

Morris was born on December 12, 1934 in Amarillo, Texas. He is the first son of Earl A. Miller and Mattie L. Miller who preceded him in death. Like his father, he was a minister, teacher, and song director for churches of Christ. He worked with and preached for churches from Montana to Texas and Arizona to New Orleans and many other places between.

He completed Port Arthur College in the field of Electronics Technology and was a graduate from high school in Port Natchez, Texas. He earned his (FCC) licenses in electronics, Amateur Radio and extra class licenses, and the U.S. Marine License for navigation of passenger-carrying vessels. He also attended, and worked at ACC ( Abilene Christian College) for three years.

On February 19, 1955 Carole Ann Womelsdorff became Mrs. Carole Anne Miller. They were married by his father Earl A. Miller. Morris and Ann worked with small churches, preaching and teaching in Texas. In a string of events, Morris went to work with The El Paso Natural Gas Company, and was able work with new churches all of over the country and establish new churches, and did so, greatly enlarging his work in the gospel of Christ Jesus.

Morris is survived by his wife, Carole Ann Miller; sons Michael Miller and wife Jodi, Morris G. Miller Jr., six grand children, three sister and a brother, Betty J., Mary C., Margaret H., and Paul G.

In lieu of flower donations may be made to the Western Heights Church of Christ in Sherman.
