Lynn Lenoir Muil Obituary
SHERMAN - Lynn Lenoir Muil, 68, of Sherman, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 31, 2014. She was born on May 24, 1945, in Paris, Texas, to the late Robert Lee and Fanny Laura Lenoir (nee Duncan). She graduated from DeKalb High School in 1963 and earned a BA in English from Baylor University in 1967.

Lynn had been active in several civic organizations in Sherman. She was a past member of the Sherman Preservation League, during which time her home was part of the first Preservation League Home Tour. She also served several years on the Sherman Library Board and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Lynn had a great love of horses. She was very active in numerous endeavors for the Tennessee Walking Horse breed, from trail riding to local parades to participating on the rail in the show ring. She was a member of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association and regularly attended and sometimes competed in the Tennessee Walking Horse Celebration in Shelbyville, Tennessee, becoming a great and successful ambassador for the breed. She was also a member of the Saddlebags, a ladies' riding club in North Texas. She passed along this love for horses to her daughter, Caroline Muil Switzer, and her granddaughter, Catherine Lenoir Switzer.

In addition to Caroline and Catherine, Lynn is survived by two sisters, Louise Lenoir Brooks and Laura Lenoir Cogswell, along with several nieces and nephews and their families.

It was Lynn's desire to donate her body to science to further research for cancer. She was actively witnessing for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, until her last day and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Lynn's life will be held in Dannel Funeral Chapel on Friday, April 4th at 7 p.m. The family will receive friends prior to the service. Honorary pallbearers are: Bob Brooks, Duncan Brooks, Max Cogswell, Jr., Michael Inman, and Frank Cobb.

Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman. Online condolences may be registered at
