June Winkels Obituary
SHERMAN - June Winkels, age 76, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 in Sherman, Texas. Ella June Hawkins, was born June 1, 1937 in Kilgore, Texas, the daughter of Oran and Gladys (Blagg) Hawkins. She was one of nine children.

June loved her family beyond measure and enjoyed every minute that she had with them. She always had fun in life and could brighten the room with her wonderful smile. June has lived in the community since 1973, and attended Wood Street Church of Christ for ten years, and for the last year has attended Pottsboro Church of Christ.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Winkels is survived by her loving family, husband, Bryant Winkels, two sons, Michael Huckaby and Robert Huckaby, daughter, Donna Huckaby West, seven grandchildren, Michael Huckaby Jr., Jason Ritchie, Tammy Ritchie (Horn), Christy Huckaby (Fuchs), Taylor Huckaby and Jamie Huckaby, nine great-grandchildren, Naomi Huckaby, Matthew Huckaby, Alexander Ritchie, Emily Ritchie, Lucy Ritchie, Ariel Nore, Trenton Horn, Peyton Fuchs and Ryan Handy, two great-great-grandchildren, Ella Rosewell and Ian Rosewell, four sisters, Peggy Prestridge, Jean Branum, JoAnn Dunman and Jannie Philley, two brothers, Jerry Hawkins and Jack Hawkins, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 50 years, Robert Huckaby, her parents, and two brothers, Jimmy Hawkins and Larry Hawkins.

Funeral services for Mrs. Winkels will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 9 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Minister Greg Knight officiating. Interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman.

Family Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 8 at Fisher Funeral Home.
