Betty DeBerry Obituary
TOM BEAN - Betty Catherine Tate DeBerry was born December 17, 1921 in Van Alstyne, Texas to Homer Knox Tate and Arnold Rogers Tate. She married Clifton Paschal DeBerry on March 25, 1940 in Durant, Oklahoma. She passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Texas Health Presbyterian WNJ Hospital in Sherman, Texas at the age of 92. She was a resident of Tom Bean, Texas.

Betty was a lifelong resident of the Whitewright and Tom Bean area. She helped her husband on their farm. Betty and Clifton recently celebrated their 74th Anniversary. She loved her family and her church. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Tom Bean. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by husband, Clifton DeBerry of Tom Bean; son, BillyJack DeBerry and wife Mary of Sherman; grandson, Dewayne DeBerry and wife Stephanie of Sherman; great-grandchildren, Kinsey, Austin, Madison and Ashley DeBerry; step- grandchildren, Shallene, Gina, William and Kimberly; and niece, Rebecca Moores of San Diego, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond, Hal, and Knox Tate; sisters, Virginia Horum and Davey Bass.

Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, April 28 at First United Methodist Church, Tom Bean, Texas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Donny Haywood and Rev. Gale Izard. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Thomas DeBerry, Bobby DeBerry,David Ellis, Don Merriman, Max Owens and Don Worsham.

Arrangements are with Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright, Texas.
