Harold was born on Wednesday, January 2, 1924 at Dover, Ark. to James and Lela (Bewley) Tucker and passed from this life on Friday, April 25, 2014 at Sherman at the age of 90. Mr. Tucker worked for South Shore Railroad in Indiana for fifteen years after college. While in college he was drafted by the Navy in 1988 and later pursued his degree in Electrical Engineering.
Harold married the love of his life, Betty Chambers, on April 7, 1945 at San Francisco, California. He was employed with Johnson & Johnson from 1963 till his retirement in 1983. After retirement, he and Betty enjoyed traveling to Colorado during the winter time and going to South Padre Island during the summer time.
Harold enjoyed watching old western movies, dancing, playing Bridge, and listening to big band music. He and Betty were longtime members of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by his parents and wife Betty on November 26, 2006.
Survivors include his son Jerry Tucker and his wife, Mickey of Fairview, Texas, daughter Judy Helsel and her husband, Larry of Arlington, Texas, grandchildren Lee Helsel, Clint Tucker and Carri Jury; great grandchildren Connor Helsel, Lillie Helsel, Alex Jury, Jack Jury, Jorge Tucker and James Tucker; brother Harry Tucker of Hot Springs, Ark., sister Ruth Mills and her husband, Hubert of Hot Springs, Ark., and brother Frank Tucker and his wife, Debbie of New Braunfels, Texas.
