POTTSBORO - Myrna Nell Peterson, age 76, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, May 3, 2014 at her home.|
Myrna was born December 10, 1937 in Shamrock, Texas the daughter of Earl and Grace (Reeves) Morrow. She married the love of her life, Pete Peterson. She taught school for 14 years in Pottsboro. The great joys of her life were her family, friends and her faith in Jesus Christ.
Miss Pete was a member of Victory Life Church, where she served in Sherman Zoe CD Ministry. She was also involved in a woman's mission ministry called Solid Assurance in the Lord (S.A. I. L.).
Her life is a true testimony of what it means to be a devoted mother, grandmother and servant of the Lord. Her passing leaves a void in so many lives, but her indomitable spirit will dwell in our hearts forever.
Miss Pete leaves behind her beloved family, sons, Dan Peterson and wife, Keyia of Denison, Texas, and Jerry Peterson of Cedar Park, Texas, daughter, Margaret Lacey and husband, David of Luella, Texas and two grandchildren, Dustin Lacey and Jamie Lacey.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 7 at Victory Life Church in Sherman with Pastors Jacob Sheriff and Terry Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro.
Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 6 at Fisher Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Greg Wright, Greg Smithson, Ronny Ray, Kendall Crews, Doug Lacey and Brian Booth.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Zoe CD Ministry at Victory Life Church.
