Mae Francis Luper Obituary
HOUSTON - A Celebration of Life for 62 year-old Mae Francis Luper of Houston, Texas, formerly of Honey Grove, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Whiterock Baptist Church, located on FM Rd 697 in Whitewright, Texas. Elder Melvin Bowens will officiate. Burial will follow at Whiterock Community Cemetery. Public viewing will be on Monday from 12 until 7 p.m., followed by family hour from 7 until 8 p.m. at Cravens Funeral Home, Located at 225 W. Brockett St in Sherman.

Mae Francis was born in Sherman, Texas to the parentage of Olin Onus Luper and Thelma Mae Ross-Luper on October 28, 1951. She received her early education from the Honey Grove School District.

Mae was a graduate from the Douglas MacArthur Academy of Freedom at Howard Payne College in Brownwood, Texas. In 2005, she received her Mastesr of Education Degree from the University of Houston.

Mae was also a member of the NAACP, Houston Branch, and served as a volunteer for many community service organizations. She was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church in Houston, where her main mission was to share her faith and love for Christ.

On Saturday June 21, 2014, Mae Francis Luper moved from a life of labor, to an eternal life of reward from the Grace Care Center in Katy, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers; Olin Donavan Luper and Cornelius Luper. She leaves to cherish her unforgettable memories: her sisters; Ellen Warren (Charley Warren Jr), Norma Miller, Carmen Collins (Lafayette Collins) and her brother Ross Luper, along with many nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Mae was an inspiration in her family, church, community, and friends. Throughout her life, she was dedicated to God and her family. We love her and will miss her dearly.
