DENISON - Sue "Me Maw" Cox died Friday, July 4, 2014 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.|
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Dave Pettigrew officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
Sue Cox was born October 25, 1929 in Wilson, Okla. to Clarence and Gladys Chlor Clodfelter. She married John Cox January 14, 1949 in Gainesville, Texas. He preceded her in death January 1, 2013.
Sue worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. and Texoma Medical Center and was of the Church of Christ faith.
The family will receive visitors from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Chance Clark, Garrett Clark, Gavin Clark, Will Johnson, Darin Johnson and Zeke Johnson.
Survivors are her son Richard R. Cox of Abilene, Texas; daughter Johnnie Sue Johnson and husband Will of Denison, Texas; brother Charles Manley Clodfelter of El Paso, Texas; two granddaughters, Kerri Clark and husband Chance of Whitehouse, Texas and Laci Polston of Denison; two great grandsons Garrett Clark and Gavin Clark of Whitehouse.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Cox and son Randy Cox.
