SHERMAN - Funeral services for Eloise P. Howard, age 92, of Sherman, TX will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 18, 2014 at the Harvest Time Assembly of God Church in Sherman, TX. Rev. Nathan Cain of Harvest Time Assembly of God Church will officiate and burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.|
She passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX.
Eloise was born on December 18, 1921 in Calhoun County, AL the daughter of Eddie Monroe Parker and Geneva Bell Sandlin Parker. She graduated high school and then attended a business college. Eloise married Rev. Harold Gene "Pete" Howard on March 27, 1982 in Pilot Point, TX. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2007. She loved being outside, working in her yard, gardening and reading. Eloise was a member of Harvest Time Assembly of God Church in Sherman. She also was a Sunday School Teacher.
She is survived by her four children, Tommy Howard and wife Joyce of Groveton, TX, Diane Hebert and husband Buck of Vernal, UT, Michael Howard and wife Carolyn of Pottsboro, TX and Cozetta Finley of Texarkana, TX, 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, two sisters, Jean Holly of Ft. Scott, KS and Beth Davis of Ft. Scott, KS and two brothers, Leon Parker and wife Imogene and Billy Parker and wife Margarete. Eloise is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Charles Honeycutt, daughter, Doris Patterson, two brothers, Joe Parker and James Eddie Parker, two sisters Evelyn Parker and Mary Lois Parker.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Michael Honeycutt, Caleb Reichert, Chris Finley, Steve Howard, Sherri Fitzgerald and John White.
The family night will be on Sunday, August 17th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Waldo Funeral Home.
