Esther A. "Buchie" Luper Obituary
LANCASTER, Calif. – A Celebration of Life for 65 year-old Ms. Esther Ann Luper of Lancaster, California, formerly of Sherman, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Fellowship Baptist Church, located at 1615 S. Travis in Sherman. Elder Melvin Bowen will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Public Visitation will be on Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. followed by family night from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Esther was born on June 16, 1949 in Sherman, Texas to the late Bernard and Eliza Jackson. She received her education from the Sherman Public Schools, and was a graduate of Fred Douglas High School Purple and Gold Class of 1967.

" Buchie" as she was affectionately called by friends and family, worked as a LVN for over 25 years, until she retired and moved back to California, in order to care for her son Robert.

Esther loved Christ and excepted him as her Lord and Savior. While in California, she fellowshipped with the Christ Memorial C.O.G.I.C. in Pacoima. On Thursday August 14, 2014. Esther "Buchie" Luper, departed this life of labor for an eternal life of reward, from the Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster.

She is survived by: her sons; Kelvin Jackson and wife Denise of Arlington, Texas, Robert L. Luper, Jr., of Lancaster, Calif. and Rodney Lee Luper and wife Alicia of Sherman, Texas, daughter, Charlotte Worthey of Lancaster, brothers; James Johnson of Lancaster, Charles Ray Jackson and wife Viola, of Sherman, and Robert Jackson of Lancaster, sisters; Linda Grate of Sherman, and Janet Jackson of Los Angeles, Calif., 10 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
