Wesley Alan Harris Obituary
Spc. Wesley Alan Harris, age 29, of Cunningham, Tennessee and formerly of Denison, Texas; passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until the services begin at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Fisher Funeral Home in Denison, TX. Interment will follow at Cherry Mound Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with full Military Honors. The funeral home will open at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Wes was born March 3, 1985 in Denison, Texas; the son of Rebecca Harris. He attended Solid Rock Cowboy Church in Tennessee. He served as a Specialist in the United States Army 502nd Infantry Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Prior to his posting at Fort Campbell, he proudly served two tours in Afghanistan. Wes loved his family, fishing, and the great outdoors. Along with his warrior side Wes was also a kind and loyal husband, father, son, brother, and generous friend. He also has a great passion for art, music, poetry and literature. He will be deeply missed and held closely in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Wes is survived by his wife, Jessica Rae Emerson-Harris, two daughters, Wryli Emma Harris and Raena Geneva Harris, mother, Rebecca Harris of Denison, TX; brother, Dustin Harris of Denison, TX; sister, Jennifer Harris of Denison, TX; nanny, Sandra Turner of Denison, TX; aunt, Sheila Carter and husband Mike of Tioga, TX; uncle, John Harris and wife, Marissa of Denison, TX; uncle, Scott Griffin of Denison, TX; in-laws, Randy and Annett Emerson, brother-in-law, Ryan Emerson, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Linda Griffin.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Wounded Warrior Project, 223 Rosa L. Parks Ave. Suite 301; Nashville , TN 37023.
