Bob Fryhover Obituary

SHERMAN - Services for Bob Allen Fryhover, 65, of Addison, and formerly of Sherman, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13 at Dannel Funeral Home. Dr. Thomas R. Peel of the First United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with military honors accorded at the graveside.
Bob passed away on Monday, Aug. 10 at his residence in Addison.
Bob was born on April 26, 1944 in Sherman the son of Allen C. and Belle Phene Childs Fryhover. He was a 1962 graduate of Sherman High School and a 1966 graduate of East Texas State University in Commerce. After graduating from college, Bob joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1967. He enrolled in Officer Candidate School, served one tour in Vietnam, and was honorably discharged as a captain. During this time he received the Purple Heart and the Navy Commendation Medal.
After his military service he moved to Dallas and started a construction contracting business for the past 22 years.
He was a member of the Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco and a member of the Addison group for 12 years.
He raised his family, he served people and was a passionate golfer with a tremendous amount of respect for the integrity of the game. One of the greatest pleasures of his life was playing golf with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father Allen Fryhover.
Bob is survived by his mother Belle Fryhover of Sherman; sons, Richard Fryhover of Fort Worth, Robby Fryhover of Southlake, Rex Fryhover of Southlake; brother Tommy Fryhover of Prosper, Donny Fryhover of Houston; grandchildren Chase Fryhover, Cole McGuire, Nicholas Daniels, Maycee Fryhover, Caila Fryhover; daughter-in-law Adelia Fryhover, sisters-in-law Charlotte Fryhover, Patria Fryhover. A very special friend, Carol George.
Pallbearers for Mr. Fryhover will be Blair Andrews, Izzy Aleman, Spencer Byington, Jim Morgan, Mike Webster, and Ronnie Bostwick.
