LUBBOCK - Derek Ryan Hale, 26, went home to be with Jesus on May 27, 2011.|
Derek was born August 14, 1984 in Lubbock, Texas. He attended Denison High School where he was an excellent student and friend to many. His tender heart and love for family led him to be baptized at Liberty Lighthouse Church by his dad, Dennis.
Derek is preceded in death by his mother, DeeAnne Parker and grandfathers Dean "Red" Noland and Donald Hale.
Surviving family include his father and step-mother, Dennis and Jeannine Hale of Rosemount, MN; sons Devon and Trevor Hale of Lubbock; step-sister Jessie Papia of Lakeville, MN. step-brothers P.J. Currier of Rosemount, MN., Michael Bearden of Denison, Texas; grandmothers OlaMae Noland of Lubbock and Billie Hale of Rockwall, TX; with many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Liberty Lighthouse Church, 110 West Mulberry St., Sherman, Texas, Pastor Stan McNutt officiating.
God never promised a life without pain,
laughter without tears or sun without rain.
But he did promise strength for the day,
comfort for the tears and the light for the way,
and for all who believe in His Heaven above.
