Ray D. Cunningham Obituary
Ray D. Cunningham, 78, of Paris, passed away at his home, Monday, June 27, 2011.
Services for Mr. Cunningham are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, June 30, 2011, at The Word of Life Fellowship Church with Rev. Jerry McDowell officiating. Interment, under the direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home, will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, 5805 Texoma Parkway North, in Sherman, for those who wish to attend. The family will receive friends from 6 -7 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Cunningham was born Aug. 20, 1932 in Bee Branch, Arkansas to Frank Cunningham and Julia Parrish Cunningham. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He married Leta Imogene Kerley, June 26, 1954 in Denison, building 57 years of family and memories. Mr. Cunningham was employed with Moorman Feed Company of Quincy, Ill. for more than 20 years and has been an independent insurance broker since 1993. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Dale Cunningham and wife Dawn of Denison; one daughter, Terri Woods of Dallas; grandchildren, Jessica Woods and Logan Woods both of Dallas, Drew, Doyle, and Blake Cunningham all of Denison; one sister, Vauda Johnson of Dallas along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Casket Bearers will be Milferd Townsdin, Jimmy Moore, George Williams, Jimmy Nicholson, Lowell Kerley and David Kerley. The family requests memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice.
