Howard Hutchison Obituary

DENISON – Howard Hutchison, 80, died Wednesday, March 13, 2012 at Homestead of Denison.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, March 16, 2012 at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, 5805 Texoma Parkway, with full military honors.

Howard was born Monday, May 11, 1931 in Mt. Calm, Texas, the son of Percy Hutchison and Nellie Black Hutchison. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after more than 20 years of service. He received numerous military awards including: the Bronze Star, the Vietnam Service Medal, the USAF Good Conduct Medal, and the USAF Commendation Medal. He was a Mason, member of Billie Mosse Lodge #1152, the Scottish Rite of Texas, Disabled Veterans, American Legion, the NRA, and lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Howard loved life and enjoyed being with family. He found laughter in the simplest of things: dancing, fishing, hunting, golfing, and coaching squadron baseball and basketball. Among his many joys was raising horses and sharing his riding experiences with his beloved wife, daughter, and grandkids. He was always a cowboy at heart and loved his country.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Hutchison; children Danny Hutchison and wife Mary of Virginia, Judy Hutchison McMahan and husband Michael of Denison, Jaye Hutchison and wife Burlean Huff-Hutchison of Midlothian, Texas; brother John Hutchison and wife Lillian of Euless, Texas; grandchildren: Caroline Hutchison Rice and husband Steve, Adam Hutchison, Jeremy McMahan and wife Angela of the U.S. Air Force, Jordan McMahan-Payne and husband Josh, Jessica McMahan, Chris Huff, Brandon Huff; great-grandchildren: Ayden Payne, Madison Payne, Connor McMahan; numerous nieces and nephews in the U.S. and Canada.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Percy Jr., George, and Leo; sisters: Dorothy, Nelda, and Erma.
