POTTSBORO - Billy Francis Vier, 69, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012.

Billy was born Sept. 25, 1943 in Sherman, the son of Vernon Francis and OdaLee (Carter) Vier. He married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Julie Moughon, Sept. 5, 1964 in Sherman. He retired as a teacher and coach and he was presently a Pastor at Preston Community Church in Pottsboro. He influenced thousands of lives through his service to others. Billy and Julie are the owners of Pappy's Paradise Bed and Breakfast in Pottsboro. He served on the Pottsboro Minister Alliance, and also served on the board of the Lakeway Christian Community Resale Barn. Billy spent his life loving the Lord and his family. He will be remembered in our hearts and deeply missed.
Mr. Vier is survived by his beloved family, wife of 48 years, Julie Vier of Pottsboro; daughter, Sarah Vier of Pottsboro; sons, Todd Vier of Pottsboro, Chad Vier and wife, Sarah of Lufkin, Judd Vier and wife, Carrie of Weatherford, and Eddie Graham and wife, Tammie of Mesquite; sister, Verna Lee Morris and husband, Perry of Celina; grandchildren, Bradney Graham; Lindsay Thorp; Ethan Graham; Pepper and Pippen Vier, Wilson, Noah and Jackson Vier; Keaton, Kelsie, Kyler and Kennedy Vier; and Zeke Vier. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his niece, Cindy Morris.
A Celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at Pottsboro High School Auditorium. Family Visitation will be held from 6 -8 p.m. Friday at Fisher Funeral Home in Denison.
