SHERMAN - Kelly McConnell, 50, passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.|
The family will be at Bratcher Funeral Home for visitation on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013 from 6 - 8 p.m.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013 at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel with Clyde "The Cowboy" Leinneweber officiating. Burial followed at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, Texas.
Pallbearers were Billy McConnell, James Lee, Allan Harvell, Stacy Harvell, Tommy Sikes and Michael Cline. Honorary pallbearers were be Casey Lovell, Shawn Harvell, and Christian Harvell.
Kelly was born Tuesday, Feb. 26, 1963 in Arcada, Calif., the son of George McConnell and Geneva Williams McConnell. He married the love of his life, Donna Little in Battiest, Okla. on Saturday, July 12, 1980. He was a railroad conductor for Union Pacific Railroad until his retirement in 2004.
He is survived by wife Donna of Sherman; mother, Geneva McConnell of Idabel, Okla.; daughers, Jacklyn McConnell Clark and husband Robert of Pottsboro, Kathy Santana McConnell of Sherman, Cami Lee and husband James of Bethel, Okla.; son, Jysse McGehee and wife Dottie of McAlister, Okla.; sisters, Gail Bates and husband Roy of N. Little Rock, Ark., Vickie McGehee and husband Tim of Valliant, Okla.; grandchildren: Michael Brooks, Samantha Wyatt, Bryant Lee, and Brentley McGehee, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by father George McConnell, brother Bill McConnell and sister Kathy McConnell.
