CROSS ROADS, TEXAS - Doyle was born January 1, 1931 in Oklahoma to parents Artie and Lois (Woods) Pearson. He passed from this life on Saturday, June 24, 2017, in Carrollton, Texas at the age of 86.
Doyle was employed with TI in Dallas for many years before moving to Sherman in 1976 and retiring in 1989. He worked as a machinist most of his life. Doyle married the love of his life, Annell Travis, on April 23, 1955 in Hutchins, Texas. She precedes him in death on April 23, 2017.
Doyle's hobbies were collecting coins, American Eagle figurines, cars, and motorcycles. He enjoyed reading his Bible daily, watching NASCAR, and loved his pet dogs. He recently adopted a dog after Annell's passing for companionship. He looked forward to taking trips with his family, going to family reunions to see and laugh with this brothers and sister. Doyle's life was his son, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He faithfully called Eddie every day and texted his grandchildren and great grandchildren every night and told each of them 'good night' and 'I love you'.
Doyle was a patriot serving our country with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was very proud of his service.
Doyle was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Teresa Binkley; brother, Coy Pearson, and infant brother, Russell Pearson.
Survivors include his son, Eddie Pearson and his wife, Patti, of Southlake, Texas; brothers, Roy Pearson, Donald Ray Pearson and wife, JoAnn, James Pearson and wife, Sharon, and Larry Pearson and wife, Jonna; sister, Delois Potter and husband, Ralph; brother-in-law, Robert Travis and wife, Ginnie; grandchildren, Kasie Kinman and husband, John Paul, and Lynsie Hartless and husband, Corey; great grandchildren, Tyler Williams, and Addie Kinman.
The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday, June 26, at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, at Harvest Time Assembly of God Church with Pastor Nathan Cain officiating. Mr. Pearson will be laid to rest at Holloway Cemetery in Luella.
