Jean Ramsey

Winnsboro —Funeral services for Mr. Jean Ramsey, 95, were held at 4 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2014 at Lebanon Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Lane Keister. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends in the church fellowship hall from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on the day of the service.

Born in Winnsboro, Mr. Ramsey was the son of John Weldon and Martha Phillips Ramsey. He was a faithful member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church and founding member of Lebanon Fire Department. He leaves behind a large loving family and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Ramsey is survived by one son, John Phillips Ramsey of New Ellenton; one son-in-law, Ronnie Harsey; six daughters, Jeannie Montgomery of Blackstock, Sara Sikes of New Ellenton, Liz Freeman of Chester, Anne (Bud) Keever of Winnsboro, Chris (Larry) Zeigler of Swansea, and Jayne (Johnny) Robertson of Winnsboro; two brothers, Robert Ramsey of Winnsboro, and Jack (Betty) Ramsey of Winnsboro; one sister, Louise Ramsey of Winnsboro, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and loving wife of 49 years, Mrs. Roberta Mae Bell Ramsey, Mr. Ramsey is predeceased by one son, Robert Wayne Ramsey; one daughter, Mary Ramsey Harsey; one brother, Pat Ramsey; and two sisters, Peggy Ramsey and Libba Ramsey Martin.
