WINNSBORO —David Albert, 70, of Summerton (Formally of Winnsboro), went home to be with The Lord on May 28, 2014. The family received visitors from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on May 29, 2014 at Pope Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Friday May 30, 2014 at the First Baptist Church Cemetery on Hudson Street in Winnsboro.
Born December 07, 1943, in Blythewood, he was the son of the late Rev. Charlie J. Albert and Liza Mae Branham Albert. He served in the US Air Force for four years and worked at Winn-Dixie, Bi-Lo, and IGA as the produce manager for many years. He was also a member of Pine View Baptist Church, loved hunting and fishing, and was also an avid Clemson fan. He loved his grandchildren Kimmy and Dylan very much.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Wilson Albert; one son, Charlie David Albert (Miranda) of Winnsboro; one brother, James E Albert (Faye) of Cayce; two sisters, Lucille A Elkins of St Matthews, and Susan A Buchanan (Robert) of Blythewood; two grandchildren, Kimberly Jessica Albert, and Dylan Johnston Albert; and a host of nieces and nephews.
