Bailey, Kenneth Glen  
Kenneth Glen Bailey of Arlington, Wash. passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones on May 14, 2016, after a blessed life that included Air Force service and 32 years as a Computer Technician for the State of Washington. Ken was born in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada on March 3, 1945, and lived on his family's farm until moving to Everett, Wash. in 1956 with his family. He was predeceased by his infant son, Keven Glen Bailey; his parents, Glen A. and Violet B. Bailey; and brothers, K Lyle and Garry H. Bailey. Surviving Ken are his loving wife, Sheila M. Bailey; Evelyn Bailey, the mother of Mychelle Stalcup of Phoenix, Ariz. and Kimberly L. Bailey of Mesa, Ariz; Sandy M. Bailey, mother of Kara D. Bailey of Arlington; sisters, Lyla Jean Pecora (Mace) of Boise, Idaho and Bonny L. Kent (Chuck) of Santa Barbara, Calif; two grandchildren, Kaci, and Kodi Stalcup of Phoenix. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Ken's Life will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4504 Broadway in Everett on Friday, May 20, 2016, at 1 p.m. A Luncheon and remembrance will follow. The public is invited.

Beckmeyer, Theodore "Ted"  
December 1, 1928 - May 19, 2016 Theodore "Ted" Beckmeyer was born to Theodore and Mary (Mobius) Beckmeyer on December 1, 1928 in Hartford, Washington. He passed away after an extended illness on May 19, 2016 at age 87 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Snohomish, Washington in the loving care of his family and Evergreen Hospice. Ted grew up in Snohomish attending Zion Lutheran School and Snohomish High School, then Columbia University and the University of Washington where he received a PhD. in Deaf Education. He served in Korea, in the United States Army, from 1951 to 1953. Ted taught deaf and hard- of-hearing children for the majority of his career in the Seattle Public Schools. Ted is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Morris; and his sister, Martha. He is survived by his wife, Claretta Joy (Erdman) Beckmeyer, married for almost 60 years; his sister, MaryAnne; his children: Mark, Judy, Matthew and Dwight; and numerous other family and friends. The graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, 2020 Ludwig Road in Snohomish. Following the graveside service, a Memorial Service, will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 329 Avenue A, Snohomish, WA. Reception following. Memorials are suggested to Puget Sound Honor Flight, Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Lake Stevens, Washington, or a charity of your choice.

Borden, Joyce Wilson  
September 25, 1916 - May 5, 2016 Joyce W. Borden slipped away from us on May 5, 2016, just four months shy of her 100th birthday. She was born in Franklin Arkansas to William and Annetta Wilson on September 25, 1916. She came to Snohomish, Washington in 1934 when she was 17, and graduated from Snohomish High School. She was married to Lee Borden in 1942, until he passed away in 1974. Joyce is survived by several nieces and nephews, many great and great great nieces and nephews, and many many honorary nieces and nephews - who all loved her and called her "Aunt Joyce". Graveside services at GAR Cemetery in Snohomish will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at 1 p.m. A gathering of friends and family will follow at Snohomish Faith Church, 1220 22nd St, just across the street where she lived most of her life. Aunt Joyce's favorite apparel was blue jeans and you are welcome to wear them in her honor if you so choose. The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and employees of Sunrise View CC, for their loving and wonderful care.
