Ann was born to Jens Alferd Johnson and Ellen Anderson and was raised in Monroe, Washington.
She married Cecil "Tex" McCleary and they raised one son, James "Jimmy"; and one daughter, Lucinda "Cindy" in Marysville, WA. The family enjoyed camping and traveled as far away as Belize, Central America, on their trips. Ann continued to travel all her life throughout the United States, Europe and Australia.
In her last few years she enjoyed trips with her friends at her assisted living center. She went on twenty lake trips last summer and enjoyed a trip the last week of her life. Ann was active in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, serving in leadership posts for many years.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Tex; and siblings, Allan and Hubert.
She is survived by her sister, Margie; her children; son-in-law, Craig; and grandchildren, Nathan, Jamie, Lindsey and James.
Special thanks to the wonderful caregivers at Cascade Valley Senior Living in Arlington. She was happy and active until her final day.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m on January 26, 2013 at IOOF Cemetery, 21714 Old Owen Road, Monroe, WA 98272. Following the service there will be a gathering for family and friends at her daughter's home in Duvall, WA.
