Arthur Vernon Sevey "Chops"

Vern was born on April 15, 1944 and passed away at home in Granite Falls, WA of pulmonary fibrosis on January 26, 2013.
He graduated from Marysville High school in 1962 then joined the Navy where he was stationed on the USS Bon Homme Richard. In 1970 he became a police officer for 18 years for the City of Snohomish. He also worked many years for Monroe Hospital as a ALS medic which became his calling.
He leaves behind his wife, Lynda (Nondorf) of 46 years; daughters, Karol (Casey) Wasmund and Rose Sevey (Pete Schultheis); son, Jeff (family); grandkids, cousins, nieces, nephews and many special friends.
He is preceded in death by son, Bobby; brother, Dan; and fellow officers, Asa Bricker and Bob Doughty.
Per Vern's request he will be cremated with a Memorial Service at Pilaquamish Community Club at a later date.
