Arwilda K. Koch

Arwilda K. Koch

Celebrating the life of Arwilda K. Koch, RN, friends will gather on April 9, 2013 at 2 p.m., in her memory. Known to many as "Willie", she left us for a better place on January 17, 2013. She was born to Ivor and Ruth Johnson in Lima, OH on November 5, 1936, became a RN at Miami Valley Hospital of Dayton, OH in 1957 and was married to Thomas W. Koch on October 20, 1962.
The Kochs came to Washington in 1973 and have lived in the Everett area ever since, becoming members of Everett First Baptist Church in 1974. In 1982, they settled in their present home just outside Mukilteo where Tom still lives. In 2005, they joined Mukilteo Presbyterian to be closer to home. Both enjoyed participating in senior activities of each congregation. Willie practiced her nursing career in hospitals in the area and spent many nights as charge nurse of the ICU at Stevens Hospital (now Swedish Edmonds) where she passed away as a patient.
The memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Mukilteo Presbyterian Church, 4514 84th St., just west of Paine Field.
