Barbara Vera Moore was born on February 10, 1941 and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 18, 2012. She was a wonderful Mom, Nana, daughter, sister and aunt.
Mom was born in Sheepranch, CA, where she joined her parents, Alfred and Vera Moore, and her older brother, Howard. After the death of her father, Mom moved with her mother and brother to Grand Junction, CO. They lived there until her mother met and married her stepfather, Erwin Walkley. They then moved to Everett, WA where Mom attended Everett High School and graduated in June 1959.
In September 1960 she married Loyd Davis with whom she had five children. Those five children have given her 11 grandchildren.
Mom was born again as an adult. She attended North Shore Christian Church before moving to Arizona. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Peoria.
She is preceded in death by her father, Alfred Moore; mother, Vera Walkley; stepfather, Erwin Walkley; son-in-law, Kevin Waycaster; and grandson, Micah Waycaster.
She is survived by her sons, David and Alfred (Arlene); and daughters, Christine (Richard), Vera and Alice; 10 grandchildren; her brother, Howard; and some nieces and nephews.
Mom enjoyed doing ceramics, scrapbooking, making cards, crocheting, knitting, embroidery, cooking, baking and cake decorating.
Her family would like to thank the wonderful people from Providence Hospice and Home Care of Snohomish County who provided the wonderful care for Mom during her last months, the Hospice of the Valley team who helped her initially in Arizona, and all the staff at Grandview Village where Mom lived after moving back to Washington.
