Dale Keith Anderson

Nov. 14, 1949 – Nov. 19, 2013 A Mountlake Terrace resident, Dale Keith Anderson died November 19, 2013, at age 64. Keith, as he was called by his family, was born in Seattle. He spent his youth in Lynnwood, graduating from Mountlake Terrace High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam war on the aircraft carrier USS Hancock. He returned to Mountlake Terrace, met his wife, Robin, they were married July 14, 1979, and had one son, Richard. Keith worked at Boeing for the last 19 years. Growing up in the sixties, Keith enjoyed rock and roll and muscle cars. He saw the Rolling Stones every time they performed in Seattle and went to many car shows and drag races with his son. He was loyal to all Seattle sports teams, attending as many events as he could. Keith and Robin loved traveling. They drove their motor home throughout the NW. They visited Hawaii several times, flying there last July to celebrate their 34th wedding anniversary. They explored Alaska many times, driving there one time, sightseeing in Anchorage and Fairbanks while visiting family members. Keith was in Alaska in June to attend his brother's birthday and they enjoyed a king salmon fishing trip. Keith could strike up a conversation with anyone and made friends easily. His friendly and easy-going manner endeared him to anyone he met and he will be greatly missed by his many friends and family. He faced the many adversities in his life with his positive attitude, strength and courage. Preceding Keith in death was his father, Richard D. Anderson. Surviving Keith are his wife, Robin; son, Richard; father-in-law, Kenneth Jans and his wife, Jean; and brother-in-law Richard Jans, all Washington residents; mother, Joanne Anderson; siblings, Kathleen Lawrence and her husband, Michael; Ross Anderson and wife, Tricia; niece, Lindsey and her son, Reese; nephew, Reid, his wife, Meriah and their daughter, Olivya, all Alaska residents. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 6, at Floral Hills Cemetery in Lynnwood. Flowers for the memorial service are welcome. A celebration of life will follow from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the family home. Bring your memories to share with family and friends.
