George Norman Albert

George N. Albert, 83 of Everett, WA passed away with his family by his side after a four year battle with Cancer. George was born in Snohomish, WA on August 7, 1930. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joan L. Albert; son, Bradley Albert; daughters, Shawn and Lesley Albert; his granddaughters, Amy Martin (J.P), Ashley Rue, Brianna Albert; grandson, Nathan; and his beloved great-grandson, Xander Martin. He moved to Everett while very young, where he graduated from Everett High School in 1948. He loved sports and was an athlete on both the basketball and football teams. George joined the Navy during the Korean War where he was assigned to the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Philippine Sea. After he was discharged in 1954; he met his wife, Joan, at the historic Totem Drive-in. They were married June 18, 1955 in Everett. George was a gifted mechanic/machinist with a career that spanned 45 years; and retired from Boeing in 1995. He loved working on old cars and was a member of TNGA (Thursday Night Garage Assn.) where he and his buddies would get together for dinner and their "weekly car show". George was a great example of a life well lived; a strong man who was always ready to help anyone who needed him. His love of family and friends was important to him. The values and beliefs George had were passed on to his children and grandchildren. He was a good man who was loved by many and will be greatly missed. At George's request; there will be no service. However, there will be a Celebration of Life, on Sunday, October 13th, from 2-5 p.m. at his home; 108 75th St SW, Everett, WA 98203.
