Harry Edward Girt Jr.

Harry Edward Girt, Jr.

Harry Edward Girt, Jr. was born in Centralia, WA on October 29, 1925. He died in Everett, WA on February 28, 2013. Harry was 87.
Harry was descended from early pioneers of Washington and Oregon. His Church and Witchey family settled in Washington back in 1899. Harry's mother was born in Centralia back in 1900. Harry's father was born in Rainier, OR in 1894, and some of Harry's Dilley and Hagey ancestors rode the Oregon Trail in the mid-1800s. Maybe it is no wonder that Harry was fond of the outdoors.
Harry served in the ARMY Air Corps after WWII. Harry's Girt family were especially proud and patriotic Americans. Harry's father was a bugler at Fort Lewis during WWI, and his great-grand-father served in the Civil War.
Harry never married, or had children of his own, but he did have a large extended family.
Harry was an uncle, a great-uncle, and a great-great-uncle, many times over, and is survived by family spread throughout Washington, and beyond.
