He is preceded in death by his father, Nick, and mother, Helen.
James is survived by sisters, Violet (Neil) and Anne; step-children, Lorraine Johnston (Craig) and Allan Tucker (Kathy); step-grandson, RT Miller; nieces and nephews, Andy, Nick, Susan, Clarrice, Rosemary, Jimmy, Nicki Ann, Kathleen,

As a young man he worked at C-Vans Grocery, managed Bud's Restaurant where he met the love of his life, wife Rhoda, and managed Everett Elks Club # 479 and was a long term member. In the 80's he then purchased, ran, and sold C-Vans Grocery then after retirement worked for Frontier Bank.
Jimmy made many good and special friends at the Club 170. He loved his Karaoke nights, Cadillac's, Horseracing, and was an avid Football fan. An original Seahawk ticket holder and longtime HUSKY ticket holder, and Tyee member, football was in his blood, a necessity not a pastime. He will now have time to discuss sports with his 'heavenly' friends. We can hear Jimmy proclaim "they are gonna be good this year"!
He was loved, is loved, and will always be loved. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 13, at Evergreen Cemetery in Everett. In lieu of flowers please help others by donating to , in memory of Jim Amunsis.
